I always supplement larger work projects with drawings, but I have also produced illustrations to accompany my written works, both fictional and research based.

Painting techniques and skills play a large part in what I do and in the courses I run, for example in the Life Painting and Drawing course, and Painting With Water-based Paints course. This also determines many aspects of other two and three dimensional work, including the use of mixed media.

I continue to paint for exhibitions and commissions.

Courses
Although all my courses are essentially practical, they do provide background, and a certain amount of wider Art History reference, as well as a hands-on demonstration of technique, whether the course is an Introduction to Mosaics, Life Drawing and Painting, or any other. more>>

Commissions
I particularly enjoy the challenges and preparatory work needed in completing a commission. My skills and experience mean I am able to construct artwork in both traditional and unusual forms, including illustration of written works, and am able to interpret individual customer's requirements through a working format into a realistic proposal.
